Artisteer is website design generating software. It’s affordable and unbelievably easy to use. Without knowing anything about HTML or CSS, you can create a good looking HTML, WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal website or blog in seconds. (Yes, literally seconds!) We used Artisteer to create this website. If you’ve always wanted to design a website but didn’t think you had the chops for it, download the free demo of Artisteer and spend a few minutes with it. You will be amazed, guaranteed.
SiteGround is our favorite website hosting service. All of our websites (between Sandy and Phil, we have four of them) are hosted on SiteGround. Every website is going to have some kind of problems eventually, and we’ve found SiteGround’s tech support to be superior and almost instantaneous, even without the “premium support” option. Highly recommended!
We like NameCheap for purchasing web addresses (URLs, domains). Their search capability is easy to use, they recommend good alternatives if the name you wanted is already taken, and their prices are good. Very easy to do business with. They can be a one-stop shop if you’re looking for hosting, too, but Sandy doesn’t like to buy our domains from the same place we do our hosting, so we use NameCheap for domains and SiteGround for hosting.
For those of you who know a thing or two about HTML, Coffee Cup is a great HTML editor that comes with a lot of web graphics. Besides the editor, Coffee Cup also sells web modules such as a Shopping Cart Creator and Form Builder. Very helpful.
1&1 is a full-service web hosting service. Every option you can imagine.
