Once You Know, You Newegg

Newegg is a computer hardware and software superstore. If they don’t have it, you don’t need it. They also sell a lot of non-computer stuff, like cameras, appliances, books — you name it. One-stop shopping. I think their motto ought to be “anything for a buck.”

Microsoft Store
When it comes to hardware, Microsoft doesn’t just sell mice and keyboards anymore. They’ve gotten into the laptop retailing business, too. If you’re in the market for a new laptop by Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gateway, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony, or Toshiba, give this site a look. Prices look pretty good.

Click here for the Best Buy Homepage

Whether you love ’em or hate ’em, we all shop at Best Buy sometime or other. They carry way more stuff on their website than they have in their stores, so if their brick and mortar has ever left you high and dry, remember to come here and click through to their online store.

TigerDirect
Tiger Direct is probably best known for selling computer components and homebrew computer kits, but they also sell fully customized PCs. Sandy’s been using one for a couple of years and it’s never given her a minute of trouble. (Not that computers are ever known for giving anyone a hard time.) Tiger Direct carries tons of other electronic gadgetry, often at the best price I can find anywhere online. Really fast shipping, too.

Another online superstore for all things PC. Computers, accessories, consumer electronics, software — they’ve got it.

MacMall Best Sellers

This is the Apple-based sister site of PC Mall. Everything I said about PC Mall applies to the world of Macs and iEverything here.

When I hear “Abe’s” I automatically think cameras. I need to stop that. Abe’s now sells everything from cameras to computers to audio equipment to fitness equipment to you name it. I’ve bought from them. Good service and good prices. I want what Abe’s got.
